Required Classes for Competitive Dancers:

Jazz Comp

• Competitive jazz class
• Ballet class
• ages 8 stretch / jazz technique
  

Tap Comp

• Competitive tap class
• Jazz / hip hop class (comp or rec)
• Tap technique class or stretch and technique
• Exam tap classes (which take place in June)

Ballet Comp

• Competitive ballet class
• Exam ballet class (may be twice weekly)
• One additional class (jazz technique and/or a stretch is recommended)

Lyrical or Modern Comp

• Competitive lyrical class
• Ballet class (may be twice weekly)
• Competitive jazz class
• Jazz technique
• Stretch class

Hip Hop Comp

• Competitive hip hop class
• Lyrical, ballet or stretch class
• Jazz technique or recreational jazz/hip hop class

• Cabaret or Song and Dance comp class
• Competitive Jazz Class (at least one year of competitive experience is suggested)
• Jazz technique
• Ballet class (may be twice weekly)

Acro Comp

• Acro competition choreography class
• Acro technique class (with gymnastics coach) (ages 8 )
• Competitive Jazz class
• Ballet class (may be twice weekly)
