COMPETITIVE TEAM AGREEMENT 2026–2027
Being a member of the Premiere Studio of Dance Competitive Team is both an accomplishment and a commitment. Our goal is to create a team environment where dancers feel supported, respected, challenged and valued.
By remaining registered in Competitive Team classes after the October 7, 2026 withdrawal deadline, dancers and their parents/guardians agree to the following expectations for the 2026–2027 season.
TEAM ATTITUDE & RESPECT
Dancers are expected to encourage one another, celebrate each other’s successes and handle challenges respectfully. Gossip, exclusion, bullying, intimidation or behaviour that makes another dancer feel unwelcome or unsafe is not acceptable. Concerns should be brought directly to Studio staff.
ATTENDANCE & COMMITMENT
Competitive dancers are expected to attend all scheduled classes, rehearsals and required Studio events.
Missing more than three classes of the same class throughout the season may result in removal from that routine/class without refund of costume, lesson or competition entry fees. Exceptions may be considered for valid circumstances when appropriate notice is provided.
Excessive absences may also result in a dancer sitting out of choreography, performances or events, or being removed from the Competitive Team.
TEAM REPRESENTATION
Dancers and parents/guardians are expected to represent Premiere Studio of Dance respectfully while at the Studio and at dance-related events, including competitions, conventions, performances and other PSD activities.
Behaviour toward dancers, teachers, staff, other families, adjudicators and event personnel should reflect the respect and sportsmanship expected as a member of the PSD Competitive Team.
PARENT/GUARDIAN COMMITMENT
Parents/guardians agree to support Studio decisions regarding placement, choreography, attendance and team expectations, and to communicate respectfully with staff and other families.
Gossip, public criticism, confrontation or behaviour that negatively impacts dancers, teachers or other families is not appropriate.
CODE OF CONDUCT
All Competitive Team dancers and parents/guardians are expected to follow the PSD Studio Code of Conduct and Studio Policies.
Threatening, hostile, bullying, intimidating or otherwise inappropriate behaviour — whether verbal, written or physical — may result in removal from the Studio and/or Competitive Team without refund, as outlined in Studio policies.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
By remaining registered after October 7, 2026, dancers and parents/guardians acknowledge their commitment to the Competitive Team and agree to the expectations above.
Competitive Team membership requires commitment, accountability, respect and a team-first attitude. Together, we can make PSD a place where every dancer will continue to thrive!
